Preston (Ethan Embry) decides that on graduation day, just before leaving town, he will proclaim his love for beautiful class knockout Denise, whom he has pined for from afar since their freshman year in this romantic comedy. The timing is perfect as she was just dumped by her super-jock boyfriend, whose reputation is on the road to ruins, compliments of a scheming sci-fi geek classmate.
